SAMARIA GORGE
It is one of the main sights in Crete, found at the western side of the island, on Lefka Ori Mountains, it is the longest gorge in Europe extending to 18 km long.

ZAKROS GORGE OR GORGE OF THE DEAD
It is a small, beautiful and passable gorge at the eastern side of Crete. The second name derived by the fact that the ancient Minoans used the caves on the steep walls of the gorge to bury the dead.
APOSELEMIS GORGE
One of the most important gorges of Eastern Crete which is located near Hersonissos. The Aposelemis river runs along the bottom of the gorge. It is 4 km long and its direction is from South to North. The hiking route through the gorge is easy. It is suitable for all ages and is ideal for families with young children while its duration is about 2.5 hours.
PSILOTIRIS
It is the highest mountain in Crete. During the Minoan era, it was a sacred mountain and many myths connect to it. The view of the magnificent landscapes at the top is breath taking.
LEFKA ORI
It is the larger collection of mountain tops, 58 in total over 2.000 meters in latitude. They start from the Prefecture of Rethymnon, their main volume if, however, located at the Prefecture of Chania.
MOUNTAIN DIKTI
It is the main mountain range in the Prefecture of Lasithi. One of its top, Spathi, is offered for rock and snow climbing.
At the western edge of Malia Golf, in an area of unique natural beauty that combines the magic touch of the sea and the magnificence of the Lasithi mountains nearby, lies Hersonissos, one of the oldest settlements of Crete.
Koutouloufari is only 29 km away from Heraklion and is found on the slope of Mount Pirgia, at a latitude of 100 meters.
